Air Force to face Hawaii in CIT

Air Force is not done with the 2012-13 season yet. The Falcons learned on Sunday night that they will participate in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT). With that tournament comes a nice trip to Hawaii.

Air Force is not done with the 2012-13 season yet. The Falcons learned on Sunday night that they will participate in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT). With that tournament comes a nice trip to Hawaii.

The Falcons finished the 2012-13 season 17-13 and are ranked 79th in the realtimerpi.com ratings. Hawaii of the Big West Conference was 17-14 (10-8) this season and is ranked 234th by realtimerpi.com.

The Warriors lost by 14 at UNLV (77-63) and fell by one point to Illinois (78-77). They beat one top 100 ranked team in Pacific (60-52). Hawaii's top players are junior forward Christian Standhardinger and senior center Vander Joaquim. Standhardinger (6-8, 215) averages 15.7 points and 8 rebounds per game. Joaquim (6-10, 245) averages 14 points and 8 1/2 rebounds a game.

The two teams will meet on Wednesday. Tip-off time is 7 p.m. Hawaii Time (11 p.m. MT) at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
