NAME: Ty MacArthur

POSITION: WR

CLASS: SR

HT/WT: 5-9, 175

OVERVIEW: One of Air Force's top returning play-makers, Ty MacArthur has found a niche in the Falcons' rushing offense by catching the ball. Last season MacArthur caught 24 passes for 411 yards and a pair of touchdowns. MacArthur had three games where he caught at least four passes (Idaho State, Navy and New Mexico). A duel threat player, Ty is also Air Force's second leading returning rusher. He gained 467 yards and scored two touchdowns while averaging a phenomenal 8.2 yards per carry. Perhaps MacArthur's biggest moment of the 2012 season was during the Wyoming game. With Air Force trailing 21-7 just moments before halftime, MacArthur decided enough was enough. MacArthur scored on a 46-yard reception from Connor Dietz to make things more manageable going into halftime. Air Force would go on to win 28-27 in a game that had bowl implications. Thanks to MacArthur's great play the Falcons would play yet again in the postseason.

PROJECTION FOR 2013: Starter. Anyone who can catch 24 passes in an option offense while averaging over eight yards a carry certainly should start.
