COMMENTS

New Mexico, which was improved under first year head coach Bob Davie, nearly upset the Falcons in Colorado Springs last season. The Lobos, who averaged over 300 yards rushing a game in 2012, lost six starters on offense and eight on defense so whether they can continue their improvement in 2013 remains to be seen. The Lobos do return running back Kasey Carrie who rushed for over 1,400 yards last season along with three starting offensive linemen to block for him. Defensive end Jacori Green (6-3, 272) had five sacks a year ago and picked up six tackles in the game against the Falcons.
