Falcons win again; 61 -37

The Falcons extend their winning streak to 10 games with a hard fought but convincing win over a good Texas A&M Corpus Christi team.

 Freshman Matt McCraw came off the bench to score 11 points to help Air Force (12-2) extend its win streak to 10 games. Antoine Hood added 13 points and the Falcon's high octane defense smothered the Islanders on  the way to a 61-37 win Wednesday night at Clune arena

The Falcons beat Texas A&M Corpus Christi continuing a win streak that started  20 games ago with a 56-53 win Dec. 9 over the Islanders (9-8) at Corpus Christi.  The Islanders are a good team and they showed the abilities in the first half when the Falcon' scoring went cold.  The islanders took advantage of the short-lived Falcon slump and narrowed an Air Force 13 point lead to one just before the half.  McCraw then hit a trey just before the halftime buzzer to give the Falcons a little breathing room. 

In the second half the Falcon defense continued it's dominant ways and kept Air Force ahead until the Falcon offense came back to life.  The Falcons soon pulled away with  excellent balanced play and once again  were able to bring out the boys from the bench.  Corey Lamkin led Texas A&M Corpus Christi with 11 points and 18 rebounds.

The Falcons get right back into conference play with an afternoon home game against MWC powerhouse Brigham Young.  The game starts at 4PM.
