Falcons Shoot Down Aztecs
Nick Welch drives to the basket against SDSU (AP)

The magic continues; Air Force is now 15-2 overall and 5-0 in Conference play. The Falcons continue their masterful defense and bring the shots on when they need them even when they are running cold on offense. AFA just keeps leaving it's fellow MWC teams in a state of shock as they rack em up.

Falcons win yet another big game on the road

AFA 57- SDSU 43

Another big mountain West win by the Falcons, this time on the road against San Diego State.  The Aztecs really needed this win and so did the other MWC teams as they all would like to reign in the Falcons.  Air Force was 2 games ahead in first place before tonight's game and the conference is really starting to feel their pressure from this upstart team that cannot be stopped.

It doesn't seem to matter, on the road or back at Clune, the Falcons, playing dominating defense, always seem to take control of the game at some point.  The Aztecs, a very quick team, but a team lacking good depth, had plans for beating the Falcons.  They pressed early and often; SDSU is a very quick team and their press along with the Falcon's offense going cold once again kept the game close.

The Aztecs even lead early on and twice tied it up after the Falcons had gone ahead.  But the Falcon defense never wavered, they were strong the entire game and in last part of the 2nd half the Falcons pulled away and could not be stopped.
