Tim Keller in action against SDSU (AP L. Ignelz)

This great season (so far) has taken Falcon fans to heights never experienced in the life of Air Force basketball. There is more to come as the season is only "half full". When complete this Falcon team will leave a legacy of winning and confidence that will fuel future Air Force basketball teams. | |||

We (Falcon Fans) cannot get enough of our prolific basketball team and neither can the press and fans across the country. Everybody is talking about the Falcons and their magical tour through the schedule. Joe Scott is proud and beams after each game; his goals are starting to come true and the Air Force basketball team is playing Round-ball with the best of them. The accolades continue as the once down trodden, bottom dwelling Falcons fly high above the rest of the conference. No one seems to be able to stop them... this of course cannot last forever and likely (but maybe) wont last the rest of the season. The Falcons have already soared so high, done so much, broke so many records and brought so many new fans on board... that most teams (and their fans) would have been satisfied long ago. Not the Falcons, these guys, this team are on a mission and this should truly be a magical year, a year talked about for years to come. We are all also hoping that this is only the beginning, a peek, albeit a very powerful, in your face peek, at the future of Falcon basketball. We grew accustomed to and demanded excellence from the Falcon football team but we were soon in hibernation after the bowl season as our Falcon basketball team, year after year, for so long just plodded along. Win a few here and there, an occasional above average player with a few highlights, but for the most part the team just hung around the ground level of conference play, never really excelling in any particular area and unable to climb out of the darkness of twenty plus years of losing. That hope, in my optimistic view, is reality now... it is evident Now on to Big Monday as the Falcons roust the Rebels of UNLV on ESPN.
