A word or two from FalconMike. This Air Force Falcon basketball team is definitely raising the bar; so many records broken this year and so much accomplishments in the relative short term of one basketball season. Yes, Joe Scott has been working his goals since he arrived at AFA 4 years ago. He had many goals set and still has more but this season has witnessed the realization of a great deal of those goals. As each year progressed so did the Falcons, little by little; win by win, each year they became a little better, a little more confident and now the team is all Joe Scott's athletes and all Joe Scott's system. Expectations are that this Air Force basketball team will continue to grow, continue to be competitive and continue to win. With all the success this team is having, the standard for future Falcon teams is very high. Those high standards, some believe, will be too high for the new era Falcons to follow but if the AFA AD is on the ball, the biggest obstacle to success will be covered early on. That obstacle would be Joe Scott being distracted by the multitude of coaching offers that are bound to come his way. If the Academy gets Joe signed to a reasonably long term, quality contract, the AFA basketball program will be well on it's way to many more successful seasons and those standards will not seem so high, they will be expected though. This Saturday the Falcons continue to battle the 2nd wave of Mountain West foes as they take on the Lobos of New Mexico. Each victory raises that bar a little higher.... but the Falcon basketball program had plenty of room for improvement. Falcon Sports Spoken Here!
