| In 2006 John played in 12 games, starting the last 11. He finished second on the team in tackles with 68, including 31 unassisted. He had a team-best 5.5 tackles for loss of 20 yards. John had 1.5 quarterback sacks for 11 yards and tied for the team lead in interceptions with two, returning them 15 yards. He also had two pass breakups and one forced fumble. He matched his career high with 13 tackles vs. Navy and had 10 tackles and a forced fumble vs. Utah. John had seven tackles at Tennessee, five tackles and a sack vs. Notre Dame and two tackles and two pass interceptions vs. Army. John became the first Falcon with two interceptions in a game since Tony Jones in 1998. He was named second-team All-Colorado by the National Football Foundation's Colorado chapter.
John added 15 more pounds of muscle and has been moved to outside linebacker for 2007. Look for many big plays from John this season. |
